Musical Hugs

A lovely initiative from Huggies that lets you create a personalized lullaby for your baby.

One morning Sabrina sent me a message with an MP3… Unfortunately, that was the only day I had forgotten my inseparable (except for that day, of course) public transit headphones. No big deal – as soon as I got to the office, I pulled out my backup earbuds from the drawer and… ta-daa! My wife’s song for our future baby girl!

The little tune had a nice rhythm but was also sweet and full of love – a wonderful way to start the day.

AND WHAT ABOUT ME?!?!?

Needless to say, if I’m writing about it, I also tried my hand at creating my own Musical Hug.

Ok, the creation process is designed for moms, and once I got past the awkwardness of thinking of myself as female, I too “gave birth” to my own soundtrack. An incredible companion for bedtime!

The effects

Now, honestly I can’t evaluate who’s right among the articles I find online about the influence of music on unborn babies during pregnancy. But I can say that I love the idea of having a song that’s “all mine” to protect and accompany my daughter at bedtime. I’ll definitely play it for her!
